A few days ago, at the "2017 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Insurance (Tianjin Airport) International Forum," the Airport Economic Area Administrative Committee, China Captive Network, China Taiping Insurance (HK) Co., Ltd. and Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd. jointly signed a "Memorandum of Cooperation on Promoting Asia-Pacific Captive Cooperation and Development." This cooperation has attracted the attention of Asia-Pacific financial and insurance centers such as Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore, which expressed a strong willingness to join the cooperation mechanism.

As more Chinese enterprises "go global," captives are becoming a form of business favored by more and more enterprises. To date, the number of captive insurance companies worldwide is close to 7,000, while there are only 3 on the Chinese mainland and only 10 Chinese-funded captives—indicating great development potential. Based on the development experience of the captive industries in Europe and America, the Asia-Pacific region is bound to form a development pattern centered on China with shared prosperity among the Asia-Pacific captive markets in the future.
Going forward, China Captive Network will strengthen cooperation with captive clusters in China and abroad, pushing Asia-Pacific captive cooperation to greater depth.
